Vulcan teen on Vulcan [tiktok] saying "I have just lost track of my father in the grocery store." The camera turns to show the viewers the grocery store in which almost every single older middle-aged man has a bowlcut and long robes. Camera turns back to show the teen's face which is expressionless and yet communicates all it needs to.

I swear Star Wars robbed us of giving quin some more interesting hairstyles. I’ve always found dreads to be some of the most beautiful and versatile hairstyles out there, so I hope I did them some justice here 💛
Tumblr media
Quinlan I think would have def braided aaylas silka beads into his hair before he took her on as a Padawan, ya know just for safekeeping 🩵
Also just lemme know if you guys want more info on wth I mean by “married vos” and his tattoos cuz I have some THOUGHTS (inspired by fic Resilience on ao3, though the account is unfortunately orphaned)

Inspired by a post I saw a few weeks ago and forever lost to the tumblr scroll:
The Jedi are not body shy. They are super respectful of their fellow Jedi are from a culture where viewing the body of another is not a-okay and won’t push it, but they definitely view the body as “crude matter” or whatever Yoda says.
The Clones are not body shy. They’re clones, they all practically look like each other, unless they undergo special training. They don’t get things like privacy, and they’re used to it. Don’t be shy about sharing a shower, when the next attack can hit at any moment.
The Jedi are body shy around the Clones, as in “these soldiers don’t get anything, and I want them to have privacy” and will respectfully look away if the Clones are changing.
The Clones are body shy around the Jedi, as in “you don’t just stand there as the Alphas remove their armor and blacks, and you don’t just stand there as our Jedi Generals and Commanders remove their robes and tunics!” and will respectfully look away if the Jedi are changing.

Concept: Elrond is, by Middle-Earth standards, a perfectly respectable level of fancy. You know, he's an elf-lord, he has plenty of robes with intricate embroidery or layers of flowing fabric, he wears finely-crafted jewelry, especially during formal occasions. He's elegant, but not gaudy– there are some tasteful references to his various ancestors in his outfits, he's got a whole image. He assumes that this is like, standard for the Noldor.
What Elrond failed to realize when he sailed to Valinor is that the expectations for "Middle-Earth elf lord with vaguely Noldorian implications" and "Noldor prince in the Blessed Realm" are two very different things. He goes to a feast and everyone is dressed like they'll die if they're not wearing four layers of skirts and at least 20 pounds of gems and precious metals. He shows up to Finarfin's court wearing more jewelry than he ever would've worn in Rivendell and people still flash him strange looks and ask him whether he wasn't feeling up to dressing up that night. He'll braid his hair in the half-up half-down style he often wore in Rivendell and it'll cause a scandal because– gasp– Elrond had part of his hair loose. In public. Noldor keep giving him jewelry because they've collectively decided that he's clearly been deprived in Middle Earth. He's confused and a little bit afraid, frankly.
Thankfully, most of the attention is taken off Elrond when Tirion is engulfed in drama the likes of which hasn't been seen for hundreds of years. The cause? Galadriel showing up in Tirion with her hair entirely loose, and no jewelry to speak of. Her robes are entirely plain. Her only adornment is her unbearably smug smirk.

"Wah, why aren't fandoms fun anymore?"
Because you keep policing people's headcanons, making fun of them and calling them horrible things, and on top of that, you're somehow claiming to be a safe space for people to express their creativity, yet turning around and harassing them anyways because you've made a billion exceptions to the "don't police people" rule and you think, like everyone else who's made their own exceptions, that your exceptions justify harassment.
So you're making fandom into a field of rat traps where nobody even dares interact with anyone, or shares art anymore, because you still might just attack them for it because they did something as simple as writing a canonically soft character as... a softie.
Let people do their "cringe" y/a romances, let people do their "gross" ships, let people write those characters as jerks or softies. Let them, and mean it when you say you'll let them, instead of soapboxing about it in a patronizing post but not really meaning what you're soapboxing about.

What happens to this empty place, waiting for my arrival...
Rook in my heart. You can read the monster list here @lustlovehart
[Alt under the cut]
Tumblr media
This is the original version but God, I don’t see anything else and I didn’t want others to get hurt watching
Now here I put my thoughts as I drew him:
I think our beautiful creature doesn't really have a human anatomy, his limbs are long and with very little muscle covering. Their bones could click together if it fully manifested. Claws replacing part of the bony fingers and nails. You could feel the long ribs behind that thick sack
He doesn’t need beyond his big and cool gothic sack to cover his abnormal appearance, after all the is no more shadows and fog for everyone’s eyes
The darkness consumes you from the pores, in each puff of lungs, you could become one with him and he would be delighted
I feel that it is detached from all worldly, but I would keep a thing or two of those who most appreciate... like the feathers of Neige or a brooch of Vil

I have a HC that Kurt is Romani/practices Romani traditions since his foster mother and siblings are canonically Romani. Ive learned a little about the culture from watching and finding actual Roma people online and such and learning about their culture and traditional clothings, so I drew Kurt in an outfit referenced from it!
I want to learn more about the culture and what I can and can’t portray- since I know a lot of Romani culture is closed practices for protection and preservation purposes- so if anyone knows any good reliable sources I’d love to know!
Tumblr media
A lot of what I’ve learned came from this creator @ florida.florian on TikTok! And that’s who I actually referenced Kurt’s outfit from too!

we have yet to realize the opportunity that stands before us with nicknames like seaweed brain and wise girl. just imagine percy making a really good point. and annabeth pulling a 'i like your brain, seaweed' just to fuck with him lol. or annabeth saying something profound and percy going all 'girl, you're so wise' just to throw her off. think about the implications. i beg of thee.

DID SOMEONE SAY FILIPINO TWST (no one did it's just me 😔)
Tumblr media
below the cut is stock photos of what is a trike/tricycle in the philippines (what they’re riding on) if you're unfamiliar!! and also some rambling about my heartshackle trio ;;;
Tumblr media Tumblr media
i referenced the one on the left, there's usually supposed to be a screen where ace is popping out (and also i think deuce would prefer riding the one on the right where it's an actual motorcycle and not just a bike)
i like to think that the trio found this tricycle trashed and broken somewhere and they tried to fixed it up so they could all take a ride on it
ace and deuce kinda fought who’ll be the first to ride it and deuce only won because they all agreed deuce was the one who actually knew (for the most part) how to fix the thing
++++ some more concepts/hcs between them in this au(???) 😳
all three of them are childhood friends who grew up in the same neighborhood and went to the same elementary school. unfortunately in high school they ended up in different schools, but they all still remained close friends 🥹
grim exists but as a regular cat who “belongs” to yuuna (yuuna was just grim’s favorite out of the three). technically he’s just a neighborhood stray, yuuna can’t really keep him as a pet at home (and neither can ace/deuce) but somehow grim keeps finding the heartshackle trio whenever they’re all together. and so grim just became part of the group.
yuuna has a physical album of photos dedicated to all the times they go to jollibee. they take a photo with the jollibee statue every single time they all go there.

Mark Lee the type of boyfriend to call you 'dude' in a playful way but gets sulky when you call him anything else other than 'baby' or 'sweetheart'
Mark Lee the type of boyfriend to bring you little souvenirs from around the world after his tour and while giving them to you he would say "saw this and thought of you" or "saw it and thought you would like it"
Mark Lee the type of boyfriend to play the guitar for you if you can't sleep and refuses to go to sleep if he doesn't make sure that you are sleeping
Mark Lee the type of boyfriend to lay on your stomach while you are on your phone just so he can be closer to you
Mark Lee the type of boyfriend to be so obsessed with your thighs that he physically can't keep his hands off of them. You would be sitting on the couch watching tv or reading a book and he would just come and lay on your lap or sit next to you placing his hand on your thigh giving slight squeezes every now and then
Mark Lee the type of boyfriend to see you in a more formal attire and not be able to take his eyes off you. He would stare all the time with those sparkly eyes of him and if you ask if you look weird he would smile and kiss your lips whispering in between kisses telling you how you are the prettiest person he has ever met
Mark Lee the type of boyfriend to send you good morning and good night texts everytime he is on tour just to check on you even if you have a huge time difference, you know you will always cute texts from him

@ ALL CRASHQUEENS AND KILLJOYS!
Tumblr media
i've been in this fandom since 2016, so i've seen headcanons and zone culture and terminology of all kinds.
with that said, i'd like to present the official (unofficial) danger days dictionary.
includes everything from zone culture, slang, battery city locations, phoenix witch, even down to bad luck beads and the dust bowl.
for the nitpickers out there, the comics are mainly discarded in this— due to how overwhelming it would be to throw in even MORE overlapping terms and such. some comic characters have been slipped into the regular timeline / universe, just for funsies and a honorary mention. don't come at me, thanks!
REBLOGS RECOMMENDED.
EDIT: i'm glad everyone's enjoying this! my askbox is open for any questions or suggestions, etc. headcanons/requests are also welcome :)

Thingol, Luthien, and Dior’s claim to the silmaril bugs the living daylights outta me and I’m gonna break down why. This goes a bit beyond ownership laws.
Starting with basics. What are the silmarils? Gems created by Fëanor that hold the light of the Two Trees. Who in Beleriand saw the light of the trees and no doubt misses it like a limb? Are here in part to avenge their destruction? The Noldor.
The Sindar never went to Valinor. They might find the gems beautiful but that’s it. There’s no cultural or emotional connection to them beyond ‘pretty stone, look how awesome our princess was.’ There’s no appreciation for what they hold. No understanding that this stone is one of the *last* things that holds the ancient light of the Trees.
The Noldor meanwhile not only saw the Light, they had entire festivals surrounding it. Grew their entire culture, their lives, under and around it. Now the trees are destroyed, their king killed defending these jewels. And this last beacon of hope, a piece of the home they can never return to, a piece of light that will never come back, is being kept by people who can’t even begin to understand the significance of what they keep.
Now imagine being the sons of the one who made this jewel from a culture of people who value craft above all else.
Not only is it light, it’s the result of years of toil and experimentation of your father, the one who managed to do what no one had ever even thought of. Fëanor’s sons would have been the first to see these jewels, probably saw him make prototypes, work equations whilst they worked on their own crafts. Provided what relief they could to his ever working mind and inadvertently gave him ideas that helped solve problems he encountered along the way. Suddenly it’s not only a key part of their culture, it’s something core to their family.
Then Fëanor is killed and in many ways it’s the most important thing they have left of their father. Now it’s a source of memory too, for someone doomed to the Halls for eternity. Who they’ll likely never see again unless they’re killed.
Now from what I’ve heard, Tolkien says the Fëanorions lost their right to the Silmarils when they killed for them. Which makes no sense considering the Silmarils were *created* by Fëanor. Yes the light was created by the Valar, but what, you’re gonna say ‘I created electricity so that lightbulb you made is actually mine.’ That’s not how it works. Fëanor made the casing for the stones and figured out how to hold the light, without aid from the Valar. It doesn’t matter what actions they take, the right to the Silmarils remain theirs and theirs alone. The jewels hold no power of their own, they’re literally objects. Healing objects at most. Morals do not dictate their ownership, hallowed or not.
Tolkien going on to say the right of Doriath’s Silmaril actually goes to Beren and Luthien for taking it from Morgoth gives me frankly coloniser vibes.
‘Oh this thing I stole was originally stolen from you? Too bad. I took it so it’s mine now. Don’t care how important it is to you, your entire culture, and your people.’
Get where I’m coming from?
All in all the whole situation gives me Bad Vibes and I really don’t like the attitude the Sindar have to the Silmaril. In terms of Elwing, I can partly forgive her purely based on trauma response. Fine. Doesn’t make it right, but I understand. But that never would’ve been a problem if her father, grandmother, or great grandfather had the sense to acknowledge the silmaril was never theirs to keep. Don’t like the Fëanorions, (too bad) at least give it back to the Noldor.
